It may have taken me 38 years to get the man's shirt ! but it was worth the wait
Robert Frederick "Bobby" Moore, OBE (12 April 1941 / 24 February 1993). He captained West Ham United for more than ten years and was captain of the England team that won the 1966 World Cup. He is widely regarded as the all time greatest defender of world football, and was cited by Pele as the greatest defender that he had ever played against.
This shirt was used many times during the 1970/71 season, but was given to Crystal Palace captain John Sewell after the 0-0 draw at Upton Park on Saturday 6th March 1971, for his testamonial raffle, the winner of the raffle ( a CP fan ) kindly gave it back to him.. John it moved to the USA to play in his twilight years, as still lives there, he has had the shirt ever since...
Bobby Moore WHU shirts are as rare as teeth on a hen! i know the many collectors who have Bobby England shirts, but none who has a WHU shirt...and it found its way home
